Clint Stevens came into the studio one day with a friend of mine just looking to record drum parts for a new Christmas song he had been working on. We talked about the project and as I listened to a few of his ideas I knew this was someone who knew exactly what he was looking for. I explained to Clint and his drummer Dave Beres how I record the drums on a live kit and then use triggers to get the big sounding drums I like to hear when mixing a song. I could tell they were intrigued when I let them here some examples of my work.

Come All Yea Gather – An Incredible New Song

When it came time to listen to the song I was immediately taken in with his creative abilities and the orchestration he used when piecing the song together. It was amazing to say the least and I asked him what he thought about giving me a shot at recording and mixing all the remaining parts that were needed to complete the song. Thankfully he decided to do just that!

He ended up bringing in a full band and we added a 20 voice choir to the back ground vocals. We recorded 5 to 6 voices at a time giving the track a sweet choral feel to get that church choir sound. The song is amazing and Clint’s voice is one of a kind, one of the best vocals I’ve heard. Thanks Clint, David Beres, David Webster, Jake Morrison and Crew. It was an honor serving you.
